Reflection

I can not believe that I have finished! This was a great learning experience for me. I want to thank Vidya for encouraging me to finish this! I have learned a lot and hope that I can remember all the stuff that I've learned for future reference. My favorites were the flickr mashups and the image generators. I think that I will use those the most.

My own 23 things

My co-workers and I all participated in the 23 things program. Although, it has taken me longer to finish than them! I have to say that if wasn't for this program I wouldn't have known about many of the sites. Most of them I will use for future reference. I would also recommend a few of them. I hope that we can do something like this again!

Podcasts

Since I am not an avid reader, I find that downloading material is easier than purchasing the book or cd. Having a three year old, I do not have to worry about him damaging the book or breaking the cd.

YouTube

I have been using this frequently since my husband came across it. I really enjoy looking at interviews I've missed. It is really easy to use.

LibWorm

I found that this website is not for me. A few librarians that I know really like it. I don't think that I will be using this website.

Delicious

I like this website. I can easily access my favorite bookmarks!

Wikis

I have found that I do not like the wikipedia website. Looking for information for science projects is easier in books than on this website. Most of it is incorrect or does not give you enough information. I try so hard not to use this.

Google docs

This is great! I love free stuff!!! Now, I do not have to worry about whether or not my word software is up to date!

Library Thing

Library Thing is good for frequent readers. It is not for me. Although I do read but not as much as I should. I am going to recommend this site to family and friends who are advid readers.

Digg

I found this website to be very interesting. It had a lot of different news and information from all over the world. I think that I will go back and join.

Ning

Ning is another social network that is out there. Similar to myspace and facebook, I did not sign up to join. I did search a few of my interests but, I think that I like myspace and facebook alot better.

RSS Feeds

For me this is similar to the Blog readers. I found this easy once I got the hang of it. I think that I will use this once I get a chance to go back and insert more links.

Blog Readers

This program took me a little while to figure out. Once I did, it became pretty easy to use.

Image generators

This is another program that I could play with all day long. If, I had the time!

Flickr Mashups

I could not stop playing with this! I like this maybe it could be my new stress reliever!

Tagging

Tagging would work great in a situation where the patron asks for a certain book which may have the same title as another and you could or they could tag you the picture of the one they want. That would easily cut down on the "I didn't order that book!"

Twitter

I love twitter as much as Facebook! It's easy and I can keep up with my favorite celebraties! I even got my husband on twitter as well as Facebook and we fight to get on the computer! It's looks like we are going to have to invest in that laptop after all!

Instant Messaging

I have learned that I am not as good as my 10 year old. Although, I am a pretty descent typist, I'm just not fast enoough! According to a group of 10 - 15 year olds!

More Facebook

The games are addicting! I've learned how maintain a farm in Farmville, shop with the girls, and even learned how to play poker!

Facebook

I have discovered that once you are on Facebook, everyone can find you if they wanted to! Everyone including people you don't want to find you! I do like Facebook better than Myspace because it is a better format and I think that I've found half of my high school graduating class!
